i
ndividual
It has been a long time since the education system ignores individuality by relinquishing it when designing different learning programs with the excuse of budget shortage and the goal of making more money out of the education business. This phenomenon caused lots of problems for the learners, such as costly education, which hinders their access to education, grade-focused and degree-focused programs which encourage a gradual forgetfulness of the real purpose of learning for the sake of diploma and the subtle but strong imposition on the individual to follow the trends rather than fulfill their unique potential; as a result shadow education emerged in the virtual world through the Internet in the form of open-source learning websites. However, there are some drawbacks to these learning methods, such as the lack of credibility and face-to-face interaction and communication, which is one of the basic and essential human needs.
Therefore, i, which is a bartering knowledge bazaar inspired by the qualities of the Iran traditional bazaars, will be a home for shadow education with the potential to irradiate the drawbacks.

Dubai Metro Stations Distribution Diagram

One of the solutions considered by the city of Dubai for its urban sprawl is a new public transportation system in the form of the Dubai metro. This was easily done by integrating it with the existing highway of Sheikh Zayed road that cuts through the entire city, dividing it into two parts. Many of the projects built in Dubai are built in a way that creates some leftover spaces which become non-places. One of these non-places is the empty land around the metro railway. Due to the metro’s natural connectivity in the city, this non-place that co-exists with the railway harbors the same sense of connectivity. A project that focuses on self-development must be integrated into the city’s urban fabric.
Therefore, a non-place that manages to automatically become one with the city can be an advantage for such a program. This will allow us to design this project in a modular sense that will be able to be assimilated into the city to participate in all its differing and uniquely contextual programs. Through this main artery in Dubai, which is the line of metro stations, the project can become the blood that flows throughout the city bringing knowledge and the power of individuality to serve the community.
